Our partner cooperative Valdibella produces this paste from organically grown olives of the "Nocellara del Belice" variety. They use the following ingredients to make it: Green olives, extra virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice and oregano - all organic produce from various members of the cooperative.

Taste and use
That's what makes this Sicilian olive tapenade so special:
- Taste: This green tapenade has an intense taste of "Nocellara del Belice" olives.
- Quality features: The paste is minimally processed and refined with a little olive oil and oregano.
- Use: The tapenade is suitable as an aperitif classic on a slice of bread or as a dipping sauce, but can also be enjoyed with a plate of pasta. Particularly delicious: penne with sun-dried tomatoes and green tapenade.
Cultivation and ecology
This is how the olives are grown:
- Cultivation method: Organic farming. The "Nocellara del Belice" olive variety is grown by Domenico Bonanno cultivated.
- Producers: The olives are processed by the Valdibella cooperative. It uses the "Addio Pizzo" label and declares that it does not pay protection money to criminal organizations.
This is how the price is made up
Domenico Bonanno sells the fresh olives to the cooperative for 1.80 euros per kilogram.
