This is what makes the Sicilian "Valencia" oranges so special:

• Taste: The "Valencia" impresses with its natural sweetness and refreshing acidity. The robust skin protects the fruit even in the late harvest season and ensures good shelf life. The rather small fruits are ideal for juices and desserts.
• Quality features: These completely untreated organic oranges come fresh from the harvest and straight into your hands without any intermediaries. To avoid the standardization mania, we supply you with mixed sizes and shapes of oranges and declare them on the crate as "not calibrated - second category".
• Use: Check the oranges and eat any slightly damaged fruit first. Stored in a cool place, e.g. with a blanket as frost protection on the balcony, the oranges will keep for several weeks.

Cultivation and ecology

This is how the Sicilian "Valencia" oranges are grown:

• Cultivation method: Organic farming.
• Producers: The oranges come from Valentino Giunta's family farm. Near Noto, in the south of Sicily, he grows almonds, olives and carob trees in addition to various types of oranges. He irrigates sparingly and only during hot periods. He only cultivates trees that are suitable for the area. Valentino is a member of Valdibella, our trusted partner cooperative in Sicily.
