These local organic asparagus from the Zürcher Weinland are grown by Sara and Patrick Guarisco without foil or pesticides. The family carefully harvests and prepares the asparagus by hand early on Wednesday mornings and you can pick them up from midday. Get a bunch of fresh and tender asparagus of the "Ramires" variety now!

Taste and use

This is what makes the Swiss organic asparagus of the "Ramires" variety so special:

  • Taste: Patrick and Sara Guarisco grow the asparagus variety "Ramires" because it has a particularly fine taste.
  • Quality features: Completely untreated organic asparagus. The asparagus are freshly harvested for you in the morning and you can pick them up from midday. It couldn't be fresher.
  • Use: Boil in hot water or sauté in a frying pan. The asparagus should still be a little crisp when you eat them. Enjoy your asparagus as soon as possible after you have picked them up. They will stay fresh in the fridge for approx. 3 days.

Cultivation and ecology

This is how the Swiss organic asparagus of the "Ramires" variety are grown:

  • Cultivation method: Organic farming. Neither copper nor other biological pesticides are used. Pests, such as the asparagus cock, are collected by hand. Under-sowing (Spargelfix) is used to contain weeds. These asparagus grow without foil cover. They are only temporarily covered with a fleece in the event of ground frost.
  • Producers: Patrick and Sara Guarisco took over their farm in Wilen near Neunforn from Sara's parents. They run a diverse, innovative farm on the 15 hectares of land: in addition to asparagus, they also grow berries, pumpkins, old grain varieties and fungus-resistant "Souvignier Gris" grapes. Sara's brother and her father help them with all the work that needs to be done on the farm. This includes harvesting and preparing the asparagus every day during the season. In addition to farming, the family runs a farm store and Sara teaches yoga classes.
