That's what makes these Sicilian almonds so special:

• Taste: "Tuono" almonds have a typical mild, sweet taste.
• Quality features: The almonds are tender to the bite.
• Use: Lightly roasted in a pan or in the oven, the "Tuono" almonds develop even more flavor and are a perfect topping for muesli or salads.

Cultivation and ecology

This is how almonds are grown:

• Cultivation method: Organic farming.
• Producers: The members of the Valdibella cooperative are diversifying their operations and have therefore started planting almond trees in the last five years. In 2024, the following producers were already able to harvest almonds: Piero Mulè, Salvatore Graceffa, Mario Aricò, Giuseppe Varvano, Erina Triolo, Massimiliano Solano, Ignazio Costanzo, Antonino Figlia, Francesco Bisulca, Giuseppe Vizzi, Giuseppina Gioè and Francesco Grisafi. Valdibella is also working on internalizing the entire supply chain. Currently, however, the almonds are still cracked and peeled by Medimandorle in Marianopoli. The Valdibella cooperative uses the "Addio Pizzo" label to declare that it does not pay protection money to criminal organizations.
