About us
At Crowd Container, you can order organically produced, high-quality food from selected farms directly to your home. All products come from diverse agriculture and healthy soil. In return, we pay the producers the price they need for their valuable work and offer you 100% transparency in all matters. Far away from industrial mass production, this gives you access to food from pesticide-free agriculture.
Crowd Container stands for a
sustainable food trade.
That means for us:

Regenerative
We promote diverse agriculture that nurtures soils, strengthens ecosystems and thus has an overall climate positive impact. The result is not only the preservation of the basis of our food production, but also its long-term improvement.

Valueadded
Our close and long-standing relationships with producers ensure a predictable distribution channel and create trust and fair returns through transparent processes.

Transparent
We reveal who is behind each product, how it is grown and where your money goes. This creates understanding and ensures fair payment along the supply chain.

We are convinced:
You can taste the values we work for in each and every bite: healthy, authentic and full of distinctive flavors.
Directly from the farm
Producers
We work with cooperatives and farms on three continents. Our collaboration is based on a shared understanding of sustainable agriculture and the desire to change the status quo. Instead of labels, we focus on long-term and personal relationships.

We are crowd containers
Crew

In 2022, we became the first Swiss company to transform itself into a "purpose company". Being a purpose company means that decisions are always made by active entrepreneurs, profits cannot be withdrawn for personal purposes and the company cannot be sold or inherited. These principles are legally enshrined in our articles of association.
With this value-oriented ownership structure, our company serves one purpose above all: we want to change how food is produced, traded and consumed - always with the aim of moving closer to our vision of a diverse, climate-positive agriculture.

What our customers say
Our mission
Thanks to the enjoyment and appreciation of food, we create prospects for innovative producers and enable diverse, climate-positive agriculture worldwide.
IMPACT
We have an impact
We have been pursuing our vision since 2016. Our trading model and the growing community around Crowd Container are having an ever greater impact. We continuously measure our impact and quantify our contribution to achieving the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as accurately as possible.

Economic effect
Over 654 tons of food have already been marketed via our platform. With cost-covering prices for small producers and living wages for harvest workers, we contribute to achieving SDG 1 "No poverty" and SDG 8 "Decent working conditions".
Ecological effect
Sales via Crowd Container financed over 131 hectares of diverse and climate-friendly agriculture in 2023 alone. Our goal is to double the area on which we have a direct impact through our sales channel every year. With agroforestry, permaculture, regenerative agriculture and closed farm cycles, our partners on these areas contribute to achieving SDG 13 "Climate action" and SDG 15 "Life on land" by preserving biodiversity.
Social impact
We have already reached almost 2 million people with our messages on sustainable agriculture and nutrition. Over 18,000 people have subscribed to our messages. An active community maintains an exchange with producers, organizes events and participates in the public debate on sustainable nutrition. In this way, we are helping to achieve SDG 12 "Sustainable consumption and production patterns".
