Sulla" honey is made from the nectar of sweet clover, which the bees collect in early summer from the fields of the Valdibella cooperative in the Camporeale region of Sicily. The clover in turn helps to renew soil fertility for "Timilia" cultivation. This by-product of Valdibella's circular economy tastes wonderful on breakfast bread!

Taste and use

That's what makes this Sicilian honey so special:

  • Taste: Sweet, with delicate, floral aromas.
  • Quality features: This honey is a classic blossom honey that the bees produce from the nectar of the "Sulla" clover.
  • Use: "Sulla" clover honey: a wonderful spread!

Animal welfare and ecology

This is how bees work:

  • Beekeeping: Organic farming. The landscape around Camporeale in the Sicilian hinterland glows in impressive colors in early summer: lush green fields, a bright blue May sky and bold pink flowers of the Italian sweet clover "Sulla". Our Sicilian partner cooperative Valdibella grows its "Timilia" durum wheat on a rotating basis in different fields, alternating with various legumes, including chickpeas and black, green or red lentils. Every 5 to 7 years, "Sulla" clover is then planted in a field for two seasons so that the soil can regenerate its fertility. During this time, the fields become a huge bee pasture. The beekeepers from Solmielato then come to Valdibella and let their bees collect the nectar from the clover fields. The result is pure organic honey - a by-product, so to speak, of the cultivation of the "Sulla" clover, which restores soil fertility and ensures that we can eat "Timilia" spaghetti every year.
  • Producers: Beekeepers from Solmielato on behalf of Valdibella. Valdibella uses the "Addio Pizzo" label to declare that it does not pay protection money to criminal organizations.

3 reviews for «Sulla» Kleehonig (500g)

  1. Simon Hirschhofer -

This is a very tasty honey, almost a little fruity. In any case, it is wonderfully creamy and intensely aromatic.

  2. Nicole -

Very fine, beautifully creamy. I feel as if I'm standing in a meadow and smelling the clover.

  3. Martina -

Sensational taste, super nice creamy consistency. This honey is worth every franc.
